For those of you who do not know, this is just part one of Crusoe’s adventures.
This is a classic novel, with classic length. It is long winded. The story is good, it just takes so long to tell it, and then you find out that there is more.
This is the classic stranded on an island story. Though it never seems to really be that bad. Crusoe manages to find food, heck he even starts to farm. He has no interaction with other people for the most part. Until the end of the story, where the storyline becomes a bit forced.
Recommend? If you want to read the older more classical version of Castaway, give it a read. (Just try not to fall asleep)
We read this out loud when the girls were in grades 5 and 7! They still talk about it when the come home. 😄 One of those epic Homeschool adventures!
