So, first off, sorry that I’m a day late posting this. It has been a crazy week! I did make it through my first “Re-Grand Opening” so there is that! Such a long week, working six days in a row and most of them open to close….
Anyway, I haven’t had much time to stitch, but there is a little progress to show. Last time I was here…
And now I’m here…
I finished the pink areas which is good because it called for a shiny filament to be stitched with it and let me tell you, I am not a fan of that stuff. What a pain in the butt to use! It kept snagging and breaking. Oh well, on to the next color when I get to stitch again.

A very busy time for you Heidi! I have never really loved sewing with all those fancy threads either. I love the finished looked but some of the, are a real bear to work with! Your butterfly will shimmer nicely now, so in the end it will be worth the effort. It is looking lovely, and that printed fabric is really neat!

Those filament threads are the devil to stitch with. They look lovely though. Well done for persevering with it.

I am so not looking forward to the next color that uses it. I even had to go buy more of it because the stuff that came in the kit was so tangled and knotted that I gave up on it!

I do hope you get some time to rest now! That does sound hectic. Your pink is lovely – though I agree, that filament stuff is a real pain to stitch with!
