Hmm, if I had to pick just one, I’d have to say Neil Gaiman.

He has this ability to tell a story that people already know, in a way that makes it completely new. If you’ve never read any of his books, what are you waiting for, really?

I would also recommend that you listen to at least one of his audiobooks, one that he narrates himself. It truly is a magical experience.
