Favorite female character… This may be harder than favorite male character… Well, I think I’ll go with… Thursday Next (from Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series.) She is such a dynamic character. She changes throughout the series, sometimes in little ways, and sometimes in huge ways that in other books would be unbelievable. Favorite male character… Hmm so hard… I would have to say, Sherlock Holmes I’ve read most of the original stories, and many spin offs. His character is something I find interesting and intriguing. Thirty Day Book Challenge: Day 14

Book turned movie, and completely desecrated…. Oh, this is fun… So many to choose from…. The one that popped into my head as soon as I read the Challenge was… Cassandra Clare’s City of Bones (Mortal Instruments). I’d read the series, and liked it, so I thought, why not watch the movie? Augh, they cut out so much, and changed other stuff, that it was barely recognizable as the story from the book. Your favorite writer… I really have to pick just one?! I’m not sure I can do that. Hmm, if I had to pick just one, I’d have to say Neil Gaiman. He has this ability to tell a story that people already know, in a way that makes it completely new. If you’ve never read any of his books, what are you waiting for, really? Thirty Day Book Challenge: Day 12

A book you love, but hate at the same time… Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury Obviously this is a classic that is on most must read lists. It’s very well written and that is one of the reasons that I love this book. However, just the premises of not being able to read books really gets my hackles up.
